Bridge Yoga Studio, located in the heart of Bridge Road, prides itself with fully trained, experienced and dedicated yoga teachers. The studio offers classes for beginners through to advanced and aims to help students achieve their full potential. Although only recently established the teachers have many years of experience in the various styles of yoga. These yoga styles will help you deal with stresses of daily life, develop strength, muscle tone and flexibility. Health and well being are improved both mentally and physically. Classes are challenging and fun and anyone of any age can join in.

Iyengar Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga, developed by BKS Iyengar, who has worked extensively on the therapeutic effects of yoga and is recognised throughout the world by all schools of yoga. Focusing on the structural alignment of the physical body through the development of postures (asanas), this style aims to unite the body, mind and spirit for health and well being. Iyengar Yoga is a powerful tool to help you focus and relax promoting your total physical and spiritual well being.

Hatha Yoga is the foundation of many other methods of yoga. A practical and timeless science, Hatha Yoga is profoundly effective in easing the stresses of modern living. The combination of thoughtfully designed asanas, breathwork and relaxation helps you to sustain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Meditation can be practiced on its own, or as an excellent support for yoga. It is a skill that is surprisingly easily learnt and gives you instant benefits physically, mentally, and spritually. Further benefits accrue from regular practice.

There are thousands of meditation techniques in practice today, but the two, "Mindfulness of Breathing" and "Metta Bhavana" taught at Bridge Yoga Studio have been chosen because they are easy to learn and form an essential foundation for more specific techniques. Both can be incorporated in everyday living for a greater sense of peace and tranquility.
